Live Roleplaying: Gaming or Shaming?
The Second Time (The Psycho GM)

I remember very little about the second time except for the psycho GM. I supposed I should have figured things out when he arrived for the pregame briefing dressed in full camouflage gear - including a forage cap.

Some of the guys had bought their own weapons and he started to inspect them. The "incident" occurred when he got to a giant club that one of them (the friend of a cousin of a friend or something) had bought. This was a magnificent thing, about a metre long and with a head about thirty centimetres across. It was made of foam wrapped with tape. A lot of tape. So much tape that it actually massed quite some amount.

The GM held it up and asked: "Is this safe?". Its thirteen year-old owned nodded eagerly, whereupon the GM smashed it into his stomach. The sprog doubled up, badly winded.

At this point I started to have doubts about the GM.

The GM asked again, to the party as a whole this time: "Is this safe?"

Cue a dozen heads frantically shaking, mouthing "No!"

At this point he swung the club into someone else, and then proceeded to lay into the party, swinging the club in huge arcs, screaming all the while: "Is this safe?"

I avoided being hit by the simple expedient of hiding at the back of the cave and making myself very small. Most of the party weren't so lucky.

As you can imagine, I set off on the scenario in what was probably not the best frame of mind. I died pretty quickly - don't remember how - then nearly got lost whilst trying to make my way back to the main cave.

So do I have a conclusion..?
