Dear Dr. Bubba
My character recently cast a Fireball with a triggering spell I had invented
on himself, so that when people hassled him the FB would go off and kill them.
But when just such an event occurred, my GM told me that *I* had taken the
damage too, and since I was right at ground zero, I got no
save. Is this fair? Or should I find a more reasonable GM?

And on a similar note...
Dear Doctor Bubba,
My character recently made a lamp using a milk bottle, some petrol/gasoline
and a rag. However, my GM insisted that this was actually a "f***ing molotov
cocktail!" and told me that my character had lost 55 hit points and had his
charisma reduced to 3.
Is he right?
Maimed in Maine
Well, Fried of Florida, and Maimed of Maine, the same answer / observation
applies to both your questions.
You're morons. We suggest that you stick to playing PCs with intelligences of
3. At least that way you'll always be in character.
